Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 April 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and CVAura ("CVAura", "we", "us", "our"). They govern your use of cvaura.com, app.cvaura.com, and related services, including ATS analysis tools, account features, billing pages, and customer support (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms.

1. Company Information and Scope

CVAura is the business and trading name of Shaveen Udayanga, an individual sole proprietor based in Sri Lanka, providing services globally to users in the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, UAE, and other regions. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and purchasers of paid products. If you use CVAura on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. What CVAura Sells

CVAura offers AI-assisted CV analysis products. As of the date above, the available commercial offerings are:

  • Pay-per-analysis: USD $2.99 for one paid analysis.
  • Pro Monthly subscription: USD $9 per month, automatically renewing.
  • Pro Yearly subscription: USD $79 per year, automatically renewing.
  • One free analysis per registered user account (not sold, earned).

We may update product features, limits, and pricing from time to time. Any change to recurring subscription pricing is handled with notice and required consent where law requires.

3. Accounts, Eligibility, and User Responsibilities

You must provide accurate sign-in and profile information and keep it current. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your authentication credentials. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized access or suspected security incident involving your account.

You may not create multiple accounts to evade usage limits, pricing, or enforcement actions, including the one-free-analysis policy. We reserve the right to verify usage patterns and restrict abuse.

4. Paddle Billing, Merchant of Record, and Taxes

Paddle is CVAura's payment provider and acts as Merchant of Record for purchases made through Paddle Checkout. As described in Paddle's buyer-facing legal terms, buyers purchase the product from Paddle as authorized reseller, and Paddle processes payment, issues invoices, and handles applicable sales taxes/VAT/GST obligations.

You authorize Paddle to charge your chosen payment method for one-time purchases and recurring subscription charges. Payment receipts and transaction emails are issued by Paddle. CVAura does not receive your full card number or payment instrument credentials.

5. Subscription Auto-Renewal and Cancellation

If you purchase a monthly or yearly subscription, you expressly authorize recurring billing. Subscriptions automatically renew for successive billing periods matching your initial term unless canceled. Renewal charges may be collected on or after 00:00 UTC on the renewal date, consistent with Paddle's checkout terms.

You can cancel at any time from your account billing settings or via Paddle's buyer portal link provided in your subscription emails. Cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period unless mandatory law in your region requires otherwise.

6. Free Analysis and Paid Access Rules

Each registered user receives one free analysis. After that free analysis is used, additional analyses require either a pay-per-analysis purchase or an active subscription. We may block, reverse, or void benefits obtained through abuse, account manipulation, or unauthorized access.

7. Refunds, Withdrawals, and Payment Disputes

CVAura provides a 30-day money-back guarantee for eligible purchases as detailed in our Refund Policy. Refund processing is performed through Paddle.

For EU/EEA/UK consumers, statutory withdrawal rights may apply for 14 days after purchase. Consistent with digital content rules and Paddle buyer terms, this right may be lost once you begin downloading, using, or otherwise benefiting from the product during the withdrawal period after requesting immediate access.

For chargebacks and payment disputes, contact Paddle first for faster resolution. Paddle's buyer terms and applicable country-specific rules govern payment dispute handling: Paddle Buyer Terms.

8. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Using CVAura for unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, or abusive activities.
  • Scraping, harvesting, reverse engineering, decompiling, or probing the Service.
  • Reselling analyses or bulk output as a commercial resale service without our consent.
  • Using CVAura output, prompts, or systems to train competing AI models.
  • Uploading content you do not have rights to use or share.
  • Bypassing technical protections, quotas, or account restrictions.

9. User Content and Data Ownership

You retain ownership of your submitted content, including CV text and job description text. You grant CVAura a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, transmit, and display this content solely to operate the Service, provide analyses, prevent abuse, comply with law, and improve reliability and safety.

You represent that you have all required rights and permissions for content you submit. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate laws, third-party rights, or contractual obligations.

10. AI-Generated Analysis Disclaimer

CVAura analyses are generated using AI systems, including Google Gemini API. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, inconsistent, or contain hallucinations. The Service is designed to assist document improvement, not to guarantee hiring outcomes.

CVAura does not guarantee interviews, job offers, salary outcomes, or employment success. You are solely responsible for reviewing, validating, and deciding whether to use any output from CVAura. You must not use CVAura output as the sole basis for automated eligibility, shortlisting, or employment decision-making about any person.

11. Intellectual Property

CVAura and its licensors own the Service, including software, branding, design, prompts, model orchestration logic, and related intellectual property rights. Except where explicitly allowed, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sublicense, or create derivative works from the Service.

Any feedback you submit may be used by CVAura to improve the Service without restriction or compensation to you.

12. Suspension and Termination

CVAura may suspend, limit, or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, engage in fraud, create chargeback abuse risk, or create security/legal risk. We may also remove content that violates these Terms or law.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Termination does not remove obligations that by nature survive termination, including payment obligations, liability limits, and dispute clauses.

13. Warranty Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" with no express, implied, or statutory warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CVAura is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business.

CVAura's total aggregate liability for claims arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) USD $100 or (b) the total amount you paid to Paddle for CVAura products in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

Except where mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. You and CVAura agree to attempt good-faith informal resolution first by contacting support@cvaura.com.

Payment-specific matters (including cancellation workflows, withdrawal handling, and chargeback evidence) are handled in coordination with Paddle under Paddle buyer terms and applicable laws in your country of purchase.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. For material changes, we provide at least 30 days notice by posting an updated version and/or sending account email notice before the change takes effect, unless immediate changes are required by law, security, or fraud-prevention needs.

If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using the Service and cancel active subscriptions before the effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
